| Is electrolysis hair removal
really permanent?
Yes, because the only way to permanently get rid of hair is to safely
put an end to the hair root, the part that makes the hair grow back. I
treat each hair individually and carefully.
Is the hair removal procedure painful?
I have removed tens of thousands of hairs and my customers constantly
send me referrals. So I must be doing something right. Yes, there is a
pinch sensation when the hair root is destroyed, but with my technique
you only feel that once and with a topical anesthetic cream like ELA-max,
which you can obtain over the counter, you can even avoid the pinch.
Here is a test: If you have ever gone to an electrolysist, did
you feel anything when the hair follicle was removed? If you did then
you paid very dearly for expensive tweezing.
Why electrolysis over other methods?
Across many beauty categories, the battle between the trendy solution
and the tried-and-true one rages on. In many categories, the trendy one
will win because it truly represents an innovation—a newer and better
way to do things. In other categories, it won't—because the tried-and-true
actually works and the trend turns out to be just a passing fad.
Next time you see an ad for laser hair removal ask yourself if you also
see the word “Permanent” in the ad. Why do you think that
word is conveniently missing?
The reason I think that electrolysis will win out over laser is based
on my experience over the last few years treating many dissatisfied laser
patients. And giving them great results with electrolysis.
What areas can be treated?
Unwanted hair can be caused by many reasons ranging from hormone changes,
physiological, heredity, some medications, or stress. Hair can be safely
removed from most body areas, including: the hairline, bridge of nose,
eyebrows, upper and lower lip, cheeks, sideburns, chin, neck, arms and
underarms, breasts, abdomen, bikini line, legs back and chest. The inside
of the ears and nose should not be treated.
How does electrolysis remove hair?
A very fine sterile probe is inserted in the hair follicle and a split
second impulse is directed to the hair root to destroy it so the hair
cannot regrow.
